So, I bought this for my daughter and she pointed out a lot of mistakes the book makes. On the math portion, whoever wrote this book DOES NOT UNDERSTAND FOIL METHOD AT ALL! So, one problem is find the answer of (2+2x)(2-2x). She found the simplified answer which is 4-4z^2. However, the answers to that problem was 8, 8x, 4, and 4x. None of those answers make sense. Then, we looked at the answer section for explanation and it clearly said, "8 is the correct answer because (2+2x)(2-2x)=8", but they didn't give us the value of x so that answer is impossible. I wish I could return this book, but my daughter already did all of her work on it. This book is not helpful and even my daughter pointed out most of their mistakes. I recommend you guys to actually look at the 1 star reviews. I don't know why this book is a best seller if it is telling high schoolers the wrong and incorrect thing. I want the writers of this prep book to fix their errors and sell people a more accurate prep book.
The contents of this book, cover to cover, are identical to the PSAT 8/9 Prep book by the same publisher. The book has 2 practice tests and all material - strategies, suggestions, reading/writing passages + questions, math problems+ questions are verbatim. This is *very* unscrupulous business practice by the publisher - selling two books with identical content, but with different titles and ISBN nos.
Study guide was well-organized and easy to follow for my daughter in her preparation for her upcoming PSAT. We broke up the guide into 8 sections, and she completed two sections each weekend for a couple of months, and now feels much more prepared for the test.
Great item if you want your child to succeed when taking the PSAT test. I feel that it gave her the confidence that she had prepared as much as she could. Highly recommend this book!

I really enjoyed learning from this study guide and it helped me get on track and ahead for the PSATs.
It was used by one of my tutors to prepare a student in 10th grade who was about to take the PSAT. She found it quite useful in providing a focused approach to the PSAT preparation of the student. The main focus was on reading comprehension and writing and math to a lesser extent. Both the student and tutor found it to be a useful tool.
