I've already made six of the recipes and they're amazing! Everyone is always really impressed with the cupcakes I've made per this book. They always have a lovely texture. If only I could decorate them as lovely as Jemma does....The book contains a variety of cupcakes. The flavors range from familiar (variations on chocolate) to unconventional (lavender cupcakes?!). The recipes also teach some simple methods that can be transposed into making your own (how to infuse milk to add flavor).Things to know: measurements are metric. GET A KITCHEN SCALE. Know your oven: I've overbaked a few batches. Stock up on "weird" ingredients you probably wouldn't have in your pantry (rose petals, matcha).

I am a HUGE fan of Jemma and Jamie so when I found out she had a book, I knew I just had to get it! So far I have made her chocolate cupcakes and her vanilla buttercream. I have made her buttercream more than once and it has now become my go-to recipe. I made the mistake of not using it once and that other recipe was horrible compared to hers! It wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I had gotten used to by using Jemma's technique and recipe.Jamie's Food Tube the Cake Book is a small, cute book full of fun recipes. There are some that I probably wouldn't make (like the Rosemary Honey and Yogurt Load) but that's only because I don't care for those flavors. If you are a fan of Jemma, I would recommend this book! The price is right so even if you just get it to read, it's totally worth it.

I love watching her youtube videos and her recipes! I was really excited to get her book! I'm glad I got a copy. I just wish it was a larger book. It's a bit small, but I'm still keeping it!

I bought this book after subscribing to Cupcake Jemma's youtube channel. I love her style, whimsy and top tips for baking the best cupcakes and bakes. I only wish she'd open a shop in California! The book is full of great recipes, most of them seen on her youtube channel. One thing I wish though is that the book was spiral bound as it is difficult to keep open without propping it up. Minor detail. Otherwise, the book would be a great addition to your recipe collection!

If you haven't seen Cupcake Jemma's recipes on YouTube, you should definitely check her out. Her creations always look so scrumptious, and she's fun to watch. I look forward to making many of her cupcakes. The oreo and PG&J ones look especially delicious.

Absolutely Amazing!! The only thing is that because I live in the US, we use a different system of measurement so I had to go get a scale. But other than that, this book is incredible, easy, and Iâ€™ve made delicious treats with it!

Jemma's recipes are divine. They work. I don't like going to a lot of work and having my baked product flop--no worries!!! These recipes are awesome. I especially love the chocolate cupcake recipe which is very versatile (it have 1 C of coffee and 1 C buttermilk.)

This is a really vital addition to the published work of Warhol. It is surprising that the compiler had to search high and low to find most of the entries in this catalog. Apparently Warhol did not keep a set of these published album covers for his own archives, which is very surprising considering what a pack-rat he was. My only complaint about this publication is that is is too large (about the actual size of the LP's themselves) and the commentary too detailed. I suppose as a scholarly work it is important to include as much as possible, but for the more casual reader such exactness can be overwhelming. All that being said, it is a very important work for anyone who loves Warhol's work. I do, and I am certainly glad to have it.

The back of my copy of the book says that the author is an Orthodox priest. Uh -- not really! But the chapter called Transmission is fascinating. It posits that Christ's words in the Gospel to the Samaritan woman at the well (known as the Orthodox saint Photini) were a transmission of the Christian tradition of still prayer (hesychia). It also tells the story of how the author learned this tradition on Mount Athos from one of the spiritual sons of St. Silouan. An irony is that he also mentions the Orthodox Elder Sophrony of Essex in England, who repented of his practice of Buddhist meditation as a young man! (See his book We Shall See Him As He Is).The writing in this book is far more post-Vatican II Catholic rather than Orthodox. Much of the rest of the book is basic Buddhism -- almost generic spirituality -- but that doesn't mean it's all bad, far from it. Every time I started wondering if this author had truly encountered Christ, I found some evidence that he has -- mixed in with everything else. And he does give Christ the last word!

For the Christian mystic, this is a phenomenal find. It is a wealth of knowing over time and spanning the many cultures and histories of the middle east. It brings their roots in Europe and shows their evolution. If you are searching, this book and this author is a must read. It really fills the bill for those who have mystic eyes and ears.

Excellent book showing where Christianity and Buddhism overlap at COMPASSION. I also enjoyed reading about Eastern Orthodox Christianity meditation practice and how similar it is to some Buddhist practice. It's not often you can read a Christian author who sets out to show how different religions talk about the same thing.

If you're a fan of Leloup you'll embrace his interpretations.
