Well little flowers is a misnomer. They are really large flowers suitable for wall art. For that, it is a nice book. With many techniques shown in detail. Each project list the items you will need to complete, pattern sizes and information on the "equipment" you will be using. For me it was worth it just for the lovely roses.

While I did flip through the pages of this book online, I had hoped there would be more too it. It seems that there was only a brief introduction and then some designs to use for embroidery. While this may be nice for someone looking for design ideas, this was a bit of a disappointment as I can find most if not all of the techniques taught in this book online for free.

Step by step directions, even how to burn ribbon/silk edges. Very detailed photos, you can see the threads on the silk. Projects are beautiful and inspiring. Very glad to own it.

The Rhodesian Fireforce is a variant of the same tactic; a vertical envelopment of a target by helicopter-borne and parachute infantry, supported by close air support; this combined arms aerial Blitzkrieg was developed by the Rhodesian Security Forces during the Rhodesian Bush War. Fireforce counter-insurgency missions were designed to trap and eliminate ZANLA and ZIPRA insurgents before they could flee by reacting to enemy ambushes, farm attacks, or Observation Post sightings, and could also be called in by trackers or patrols who made contact with the enemy and called for reinforcements. It was first deployed in January 1974, but would be made famous in the audacious raid in to Mozambique known as Operation Dingo in 1977.This book covers this raid in minute detail coving every aspect from all the involved personalities, the units, planning, execution, results, lessons learned, complete timelines and the ultimate consequences of the operation. This book is lavishly illustrated with excellent maps, graphics and line drawings, as well as load of black & white photography, some very graphic. The format of the book reminds kind of the Osprey line of books but with a whole lot more detail. The book is also physically larger at approximately 13.5"x 10.5" which is not a standard size print, but it works well with the format. After reading many of these books in this series its a joy to read about a battle not known much about. The book sets up the battle and the history behind the two nation envolved a clear victory for the rhodesian military. Good pictures and maps showing the battle ground and the loses suffered by both sides. Excellent series

told more like a sitrep (situation report) than a story, so not as entertaining. But from a logistics and execution telling aspect about the raids, it is a pretty incredible story.I'd recommend the book the Rhodesian SAS, much more first person account story telling of their exploits if you are looking for a good book on R-special forces.

Excellent account of how a the Rhodesian Security Forces brought down an army ten times larger and more powerfull armed.A must read, this small in size book is packed with everything and anything you would need to know about Operation Dingo a must read and a must buy!

This must go down as one of the most incredible battles in history, these men faced unbelievable odds, in a critical time of Rhodesia's history. The S A S motto of " Who Dares Wins" applied to that operation 180 men against 10 000 Terrorists .Planning ,commitment, bravery,and God's providence. A must read for all Rhodesians and future military men .Thank you all .

Although Operation Dingo contained worthwhile information about the Rhodesian cross - border raids against ZANLA and FRELIMO in late 1977 , it is less a book than a guide ( 64 pages ) , but it does contain a great many interesting photos .

I am an English teacher and I needed a way to bring the beauty of Shakespeare to a group of reluctant readers. I stumbled upon this graphic novel version of "The Tempest" and bought it at once. It keeps all of the original language (a must for my upper level English classes) but supplemented it with some great art to help support my students. In short- if you are a fan of Shakespeare or graphic novels in general, don't hesitate to buy from this series. I'm going to try to muster the funds to buy a class set for next year.

If students are struggling with the Shakespearean vocabulary, this is a great tool. Our daughter put the Original Text pages (different book) next to the American English Text pages. It was very helpful to interpret the meanings and intent, along with the pictures.

A faithful retelling of Shakespeare's Tempest, done in full color with period costumes and the special effects only a graphic novel can faithfully create. Wonderfully funny and dramatic and vivid in all Shakespeare's glory.

Very helpful in planning Locomotion and rolling stock for a new layout

A good book covering postwar to UP merger C&NW freight service. Heavy emphasis on the Overland Route train symbols and numbers. Nice sections on TOFC, ore service and coal trains. The ore service chapter includes some information on docks at Ashland and Escanaba. Too few photos of equipment. Only a small smattering from each type. A car roster would have been a good addition.

I know my husband will love this book when he receives it on his B-Day. He likes anything that's Chicago & Northwestern, being a former employee.
