Very similar to other grammar reviews but with a host of exercises that assist memorisation and deep entrenchment so that speaking/writing grammatical French becomes almost second natured with a little practice. This is not for beginners, but very useful for intermediate students of French. Good value, and recommended.

I agree with some other readers that the Kindle version of this book leaves a lot to be desired. Not only is the font too small in the tables, but if the table has a column format, the right hand column is chopped off and therefore unreadable. The font within the tables is not changeable, so it becomes very frustrating. I've read about 4% of the book and have decided to throw in the towel and buy the paperback version. I wish there was a way to return the Kindle version, but there doesn't seem to be such an option, so I'll have to pay twice for this book.The content of the book is excellent for anyone who already has some knowledge of the French language, so the three stars reflects the poor quality of the Kindle version as well as the excellence of the content.

I ordered this along with many other French grammar books I'm scouting out for this and next semester, and this one is an absolute winner. Clear, concise grammatical explanations with relevant and level-appropriate exercises whose vocabulary matches the students' expected language skills. It manages to fit all the things you want for a French 2 or 3 course, for under fifteen bucks! Perfect resource for self-teaching, or for a course where you want to review grammar alongside authentic cultural materials. As those materials change from semester to semester, this resource will remain useful, relevant, cheap (and let's hope: in print).

I have studied French for six years now, and am in advanced standing at college. However, due to frequently changing schools and teachers, my education is spotty when it comes to an understanding of French grammar. This book has been amazingly helpful at filling in the gaps. I would recommend it to absolutely anyone who needs a good review or would like to improve their basic French skills. Great for beginners, intermediate, or advanced learners.

2 stars for FORMATTING only. Like all Kindle books, the formatting is very different from the physical paper book. I don't own a kindle, I downloaded this to read on my laptop and iPads. This is a workbook. I suggest you buy the paper version, write in it, and recycle it when you are done.5/5 stars for the content; I bought the paper book soon after this (from my local language store) and found it to be an invaluable exercise book for even a beginner grammar learner. I am several chapters in; I am going slow, memorising the vocabulary and rules as I go through. In combination with other tools such as Duolingo, a face-to-face French teacher once per week and a picture dictionary, I am well on the way to fluency.

I'm in my first year of French and I wanted to try reading Harry Potter in french once in a while for practice. Problem is some of the grammar moves beyond the scope of my class. I picked up this book because it covered the past historic, and it was just what I needed. It gives a pretty quick explanation about how this or that piece of grammar is used, and gives some conjugation charts and examples. I've also used it to clarify points that I was confused by in our school textbook.It does also have practice problems with answers you can jump to via hyperlink, so if you're looking for a primary source to learn from this might be sufficient for you. Since I don't use it in that way, I can't really attest to that personally.The reason I drop it to four stars and not five is more an annoying choice for the kindle version. Often they'll put sections of text as images, and I have to click on the image to enlarge it so I can read it. Since it's an image I also can't copy/paste it to my notes, and since to read it I need it that makes referencing anything else on my computer with it a pain. It was probably done to preserve the format of grammar charts in the kindle resizing thing.Ultimately though, these are annoyances I can live with and I do recommend this text.

I cannot read the examples...the narrative font is OK but the actual working examples of the topic at hand are minute.... incredibly so. Who would allow this to occur in the digital edition? It amazes me how often design problems effect Kindle content. I returned this in un quart d'heure.

Ok, so overall I really enjoyed this book and thought it fit well with the rest of the series.Reyn:I liked him. I felt like he was a little more readable in this book. However, I would have liked a bit more from him. One of the words Nastasya uses to describe him is taciturn, and that is extremely accurate. I really like him, but he is more of an actions over words kind of person, and I just wish I could have gotten to know him a little more.Nastasya:Let's be real, she is annoying. However, in this case, that does not really bother me because it makes her character believable. There were times when I was wishing she could please just have her big revelation/self-actualization thing already, but then when I thought about it I realized that that would have been really unbelievable. She had seen a lot of crap in her life and it takes time for that to heal.The reason I had to subtract a star (caution, spoilers):I thought this book needed another chapter before the last one. At the end of chapter 32, we have the big battle ending and Nastasya passing out. Chapter 23 takes place two months later. Last we saw, Nastasya and Reyn were still on the outs (once again). He gives her a kiss and tells her not to die as they head into battle, but that hardly counts as making up. Then two months later we see them living together. I wanted to see Nastasya get over herself and figure out how to say "I love you". It seemed like right after they had their fight about it that it was just kind of forgotten as far as the story line went. Sure Reyn was being distant about it,but we never got to see Nastasya come to terms with it. That bothered me. Plus, there were just a few other story line things, such as the Dray situation, that I think could have been hashed out better with another chapter rather than just Nastasya's mental recap at the end.Overall, I really enjoyed this book, and this series is one of my favorites. I just thought it could have been a little more.

Cate Tiernan's "Eternally Yours"--book 3 in the "Immortal Beloved" series--is the sensational conclusion to the quintessential immortal series. Although "Darkness Falls" left readers with the impression that Nastasya and Reyn may have been well on their way to resolving their issues and find their own little piece of happily ever after, "Eternally Yours" pulls readers back into Nastasya and Reyn's chaotic world where happily ever after comes with a lot of hard work and a very hefty price. Tiernan introduces more new characters who are as infuriating as they are fascinating...increasing the suspense as well as the pleasure. "Eternally Yours" is fraught with danger, intrigue, and romance as Nastasya finally learns the ultimate lessons about herself and learns to accept her immortal destiny. Tiernan wraps the series nicely leaving readers sated yet sorry to see the series end.

I really enjoy this series. This is a great storyline continued from the previous book, Immortal Beloved. I will say that there are many editing issues in this book though. Often there are lines that have been strikes through but not removed from the sentence, I am assuming where they decided to take something out that they didn't like. Other than that, I still enjoy this series and can't wait to get started on the next book.

Cate Tiernan, I'm eternally a fan! After reading the Sweep series Sweep: Book of Shadows, The Coven, and Blood Witch: Volume 1Sweep: Dark Magick, Awakening, and Spellbound: Volume 2 I couldn't wait too read another of her series and I chose the Immortal Beloved series. Eternally Yours paints a picture of what it would be like to be immortal,the ups and the downs of living forever. Nastasya is cynical, insecure, formidable, and funny. I couldn't help but like her and pull for her to come out on top and yes even get her man. I hope this isn't the last we hear of Nastasya.

This was a great series on or with her others - Sweep and Balefire. I enjoyed it. I suppose this book is open ended enough that she could write another but it is also great as a trilogy.

I found this book when I did an author search for Cate Tiernan. She wrote the Sweep series that I enjoyed thoroughly so I thought I would give her other writing a chance. I was not disappointed. The story takes you out of the present and creates a world so realistic you lose yourself in it. The characters are well rounded and easy to empathize with. Its all about alternative new age religions, like Tiernan's other series. So if you enjoy reading about that kind of stuff I recommend picking up this series, or at least giving the first book a try. I have the books on my Kindle so when I finished the first book I hopped on my 3G and bought the second book right away, it was that good, and I got that hooked.

I loved this series I wish there was more. I couldn't put the book down it was great how much she went into the past so that u really understood where the characters where coming from. I wanted her to be with Reyn so bad and was so happy to hear her say she loved him. Also it took me forever to figure out who was the traitor I got it right before I read it. I would recommend reading this series in order so u know what's going on with it.Review by Sabrina of fae books

Jeffrey Lee is an Episcopal priest who has served parishes in Wisconsin and Indiana. A good overview of the Book of Common Prayer - both history and usage. The BCP is the base prayer book for the Episcopal Church, and the Anglican tradition generally. First written in the 1500's, it has evolved over time as the Church has evolved. However, the book itself forms the format and basis for worship for the Anglican churchgoer. Where the Anglican tradition appears to be relatively flexible on dogmatic theology, the Church seems very firm on the form and format of worship as contained in the BCP. Jeffery Lee discusses the controversies and issues that have arisen over the 450 years that the BCP has been in use, and discusses the historical, ancient, elements and traditions contained in the BCP. If you are new to the Episcopal Church or want to understand the Anglican tradition better, this book is critical to understanding the what and why of the BCP and the form of worship.

I've been ordering a lot of books from Amazon lately and I have to say, this book arrived in no time! I was surprised because I actually thought this book was another one that I had ordered a week before (which I still have yet to receive). I decided to get this book on recommendation from my priest. We are starting a forum at my church in the next couple of weeks on the Book of Common Prayer and we are going to work along with this book. I have yet to read this one, but I have read The Anglican Vision by Griffiss which is a part of the same The New Church's Teaching Series. If this book is anything like that one, it should be an enjoyable, devotional read that is not too tedious with the historical facts but rather a look at spirituality. Instead of focusing on the Who? and How? of the Episcopal Church, these books instead focus on the What? and Why?

I thought this to be not a difficult read; nice combo of history, personal experiences, etc. Kept my interest throughout the book. It also filled in "gaps" in my knowledge of the development of the Prayer Book we use.

Insightful book from the current Bishop of the Diocese of Chicago

Jeffery Lee is my bishop, so I may be a little bias but this is a wonderful read on the value of using our prayer book and it's history. A definite read for the learned Episcopalian. :-)

The Origami Page a Day Calendar 2019 is a good idea, but unfortunately poorly executed.I received this due to my wanting to learn more about Origami, having previously purchased a kit with a beginner spiral book that was helpful. I thought this would be excellent for my day to day life at my office, and to take home on weekends. I have a mixed review of this calendar. While it is great idea, I don't think this is truly for people who are new to Origami. I've had some experience with Origami, and I am having difficulties with the projects designed in January so far. They range from introductory to intermediate forms of Origami-and do not seem to be in any order. Normally you would think if you are starting Origami the easy/beginner ones would all be at the front. Not so with this calendar, which mixes easy to intermediate (Mexican Bird). Upon looking at the back of the calendar, you are supposed to be pretty experienced to do things like the Horse and Rider, which uses two different pieces of Origami paper. The weekends on this calendar usually involve learning a fold, which sometimes you have already done in this calendar but is sometimes new. The paper itself is difficult to pull out of the calendar container without leaving some of the paper on the adhesive, therefore ruining the edge of some of the designs. And the paper itself is typical Page A Day calendar paper-which could be the paper on any Page a Day Calendar by them-with the exception of a solid print on the back side of the paper you will be using to do the next day's designs. There is an odd, silver lettering/unknown patter on the bottom of each of the colored side of paper which I can't figure out what it is or for. The folds once made don't lay as well as good origami paper and do not make creases easily, which is needed for good Origami.Overall, I learned a few new things, but be sure to print out the Page A Day directions for some of the Origami folds that you have to do on the website. I won't be buying this again, I will be buying a more detailed book with good Origami paper that is NOT INCLUDED to do better designs with better folds.

I always get my co-workers page-a-day calendars for Christmas and this year I wanted something more unique than the typical inspirational quotes or cute pictures. One of my co-workers is a very crafty person, and she absolutely loves this! She says it's the most exciting part of her day, she can't wait to see what she'll get to make every day. The paper even has patterns/colors to suit the shape you make, like black paper for a penguin. It seems to start off the year with easier patterns and get more complex as you go, so you can kind of ease into it. I would totally recommend this, it's great!

I was looking for something artsy to do on a daily basis and found this. I'm loving it and I've pre-ordered one for next year.

I order one of these for my second grade classroom every year. My students love making a new thing every day, and it helps develop their fine motor skills which are lacking these days due to touchscreens.

Gave this as a gift- came earlier than promised in perfect condition and the receiver loved it! Great idea for a fun long lasting gift.

I've stitched several needlepoint kits from Janet Granger so I was familiar with her work before ordering this book. That is why I was delighted to find this book and order it. I like the variety of her designs and clear directions. Although I have not yet had time to stitch anything from this collection, there are several I know I will use in miniature projects in the future and maybe a few others as well. The book is a good addition to my collection of miniature how-to books.

I like this book a lot. There r so many beautiful designs. The only problem is there is no lines on the pics. It makes work harder. I have to drow the line myself. But anyway. I like it

This little book is easy to use and the designs are accurate and lovely! Ms. Granger sells some of the designs as kits at her website and they're expensive!

It has some really wonderful miniature carpets for dollhouse or I just display them in a basket. Lots of fun to work on!

Janet Granger's book is excellent for beginners as it lists materials used to work her designs and explains basic techniques (including stitching, finishing and blocking). The 25 carpet designs are rated simple, experience needed and for experiencd stitchers. Each design has a sharp color photograph and easy to follow color chart (no symbols). Measurements are imperial and metric and there is a metric conversion table. Colors are Appleton's shade numbers with a description of each shade. Designs include: medallion, circular, paisley, rose, Berlin, Italian, Regency, Chinese, Bokhara, Persian and Aubusson rugs.
